OK let’s GO!! This weekend in Las Vegas was basketball heaven; this was Christmas for basketball groupies who love the game. We had an opportunity to see some of the top players and teams from around the country play. Las Vegas was represented well. Clark high school started off with a showcase against power Chino Hills and the (Ball Brothers). It lived up to the hype on our end. Clark high never backed down and took Chino Hills to the wire, it was the coming out party for One Young fella Mr. Trey  Woodbury, who made a name for himself on the big stage. The 6ft 3″ tough nose guard showed up and showed out. He attacked the basket with bad intentions, he also made his 15 foot jumpshots, and he defended well on the defensive end. I can say college coaches had an opportunity to see a fresh new face on the scene.

Las Vegas was also treated to a big-time match up with the Centennial Bulldogs who took on Sierra Canyon with the # 1 rated player in his class Marvin Bagley. Sierra Canyon found a way to get the win 61-52. The highlight of the night was 6’6″ Troy Brown with the MONSTER DUNK over 6’11” Marvin Bagley. I must say that Troy Brown Jr. is one of the best players to come out of Las Vegas in a long time.

Had an opportunity to get down to some other gyms in the valley to see some games played. Agassi prep took on  Division III Mojave high, Agassi Prep Akeemis Williams put on a shooting clinic knocking down 7 3’s  in one game. This 5’8″ guard can flat out shoot the ball, this is why I believe it’s so important to get out to all the gyms that you can, because you might miss out on something very special. Believe me it was college coaches in the gym shaking their heads saying that this young fella can shoot the ball.

Tarkanian Classic is a first class winter break tournament and it has brought some of the best in to play. They have added aother feature to the tournament which is the girl division. This is the first year of the girls side attracting 24 teams coming as far as Wyoming , Colorado, California, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. Class of 2018 Liberty high 6’1″ G/F #44 Dre uan Edwards was Mrs.Everything. She is very physical, can push the ball up the court, and has a high basketball IQ. She was head and shoulders above the rest. She is relentless on the glass and a great prospect coming out of the city of Las Vegas!

I really like the 5’1 PG c/o 2020 Eliyjah Pricebrooks of Desert Oasis High, she demonstrates the ability to run a team and she gets everybody involved. She also has the ability to shoot the Deep 3. Her upside is very high, you will hear from her in the future. A great prospect coming out of the class of 2020 .

As the last day approached, Las Vegas was treated to an epic ending when Bishop Gorman c/o 2020 Noah Taitz put his defender on ice skates. The building went crazy! This just may be his coming out party Lol!! VEGAS ALL DAY WE REP OUR CITY!!!
