I want to make it very clear, even though I talk a lot of basketball, I’m all about Education. Your commitment to Education starts with you as a Student Athlete. I’m not speaking from a journalist viewpoint, but rather from a Father viewpoint, to you as young men. Making good decisions, and having a plan of action is very important, when you are transitioning from a boy into manhood. Success is something that is not given, it’s earned so you must put in that Work, and Develop your mind, that will help you to meet, and overcome obstacles when you are confronted with them. PS. BASKETBALL PRESENTS THE SAME CHALLENGES AS LIFE, BUT IT’S JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE REAL!! JUST A LITTLE FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR MY BALL PLAYERS!!! Let’s Get Down To Business….

1). This young fella right here was one of the better players in the City of Las Vegas, he avg. 24.9 points a game and 8.7 rebounds, he has the tools to play at the next level. At 6’5″ SG Maka Ellis of Sierra Vista High will play for Belmont Shore 17u AAU Program. He’s a player, Good work ethic!! Will have a very Good Summer!!! Had a 52 point game this year.img_2410

2). In the Southwest area there is a young fella that is not talk about that often, he’s very athletic he led his team in scoring 14.1 ppg. had a very good season. At 6’1  PG/SG Jonathan Tendale of Chaparral High has the potential to be a very good player,He can play!! He will play for the LV Dynasty 17u AAU Program. image

3). This young man has Leadership skills, seen him play in a game were he came off the bench against Canyon Springs and had a Big 2nd half, young fella can shoot the ball. At 6’5 SG James Bridges of Clark High will play for the Las Vegas Knicks 17u AAU Program. He help lead his team to a State Championship Game. (Runner-up) He can Play!!IMG_2184_large

4). This is a Great opportunity for this young man to make big noise this summer, the west coast is down on elite PG’s in the Class of 2018. He had a very good season, led his team in scoring 13.9 ppg. 5.2 ast. 8 reb. a game. He has good size for a Point guard, played very well against Chino Hills. At 6’3″ PG Marvin Coleman of Foothill High will play for Las Vegas Prospects 17u AAU Program.  img_4460

5). North Town has a player young fella plays extremely hard, many people sleep on him. Young man plays above the rim at his height, he help lead his Team to a State championship appearance. At 6’2″ SG Kavon Williams of Cheyenne High is a very good Athlete. Do not have information on the AAU Program he will be playing for. IMG_1821_large.JPG

6). This program continues to put out players, in the Hoop world we just say Next up. This young fella has the tools to be a very good player he was 2nd in scoring at 17.1 ppg and 3rd in assist at 3.3 per game, he is one of the Top players in the State of Nevada in the c/o 2018. At 6’6″ SG/SF Jamal Bey of Bishop Gorman will play for Vegas Elite 17u AAU Program. 3peat State Champ.. img_2492

7). If this player wasn’t on the map before, he is definitely on the map NOW!! This young fella had a very good season, I know that he has caught the eye of many college coaches around the Country. At 6’5 SG Trey Woodbury of Clark High is the business!!! He will play for Vegas Elite 17u AAU Program. Help lead his Team to a State championship appearance.IMG_2163_large.JPG

8). This young man is a very confident player who has the ability to get to the basket and create his own shot. This is one of the Top players in the City of Las Vegas, led his team in scoring at 23.9 points, 10 rebounds a game. At 6’3 Jacob Heese of Desert Oasis High, will play for Rip City 17u AAU Program. 9). Over the last two years I have seen this young man grow as a player, I believe we will see even more improvement from this young man skill set. Rebounded very well this season for his school. 10). This young fella can play and he has some go in him, a very solid point guard. This summer is a great opportunity for him to work on his point guard skills. 11). This young man came on very strong this season was the 2nd leading scorer on a team that had a very good season finish at 21-3. He has drawn interest from College Coaches, young fella can play. 12). This young fella work hard for his buckets, this summer will be a great opportunity for him to work on his all around game. He can become a more effective player for his team next year, he was 2nd in scoring at 11.8 ppg.
