I would like to thank Rich Thornton and the Vegas Elite family for even considering me to give coverage on the event it was greatly appreciated.

As I sit back and reflect on Vegas Elite Super 20 showcase it was good. Anytime I enter a gym my thought process is far different from most. I’m not there just to look at young players run up and down the court. The very first thing I do is observe my surroundings. I’m looking at people and studying the environment I’m in.

There was a lot of talent in the building on Sunday the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 represented well.

The event was well-organized by Vegas Elite basketball club. I have been taught to study people where they are successful. You had some of the top talent evaluators in the building. Ronnie Flores of ballislife, Van Coleman, Christian PoP’oola of PremirBall, and many more.IMG_9478unnamed

The Showcase was televised live on Ballers TV and video footage of the game was captured by Work or Don’t Eat mix tape, and Reel Prospects video. What many people may not understand, you are seeing a paradigm shift in Grassroots basketball in Las Vegas. Media Coverages is more than just going out and filming players. It’s really about creating a culture that is different from anything that you have experienced in Las Vegas.

That’s why I have chosen the writing perspective in High school and Grassroots basketball. It causes people to think, not from a visual standpoint but from an intellectual standpoint. A combination of players from different programs participated.

The Showcase of Talent put on an exhibition that was exciting and fun. Many names will emerge from this showcase. For me I am always looking for new faces and players that most don’t talk about.

Let’s take a look at some of the players that participated:

2021 6’3″ SG Azavier Jonhson of Faith Lutheran, will develop into a nice guard. Can step outside and knock down shots. He is the future of Faith Lutheran.IMG_9444

2021 6’0″ PG Zaon Collins of Bishop Gorman, A point guard with an attitude. A quite assassin the type of player that you want to go to battle with, always seems to make the right plays. IMG_9476.JPG

2020 6’3″ SG Noah Taitz of Bishop Gorman, kept the building on the edge of their seats the whole event. Down the stretch he knocked down some key shots. Young man is a sharpshooter that has good size.

I could go on all night talking about these young men. The platform has been set. Its time to prepare for the high school season. Many players in the valley are looking for the opportunity to play each of these young men.

If any advice I would give these young men, It would be “WORK OVER HYPE”.
