Making the transition to high school basketball can be difficult for some young men. Having the Instinct and pedigree of knowing how to play the game is a unique quality.
The game of Basketball has become a business on so many levels. Commitment to perfection must start when NO one is looking. The keys to success is REPS in the gym, it’s just that simple! If these young men put in the time they will give themselves an opportunity to become very good Ball Players!
The Players to watch List for the 2017-18 Season on the Varsity level:
2021 6’0″ PG Zaon Collins, This young man is the future of Bishop Gorman. A pass first PG that has the ability to get in the lane and make plays. Very good ball skills and a high basketball IQ makes him a player to watch.
2021 6’2″ CG Drake Booker of Durango high, This young man has all the tools to be a problem. Can shoot the deep ball, can play the 1 or 2. Multiple skilled, can get inside lane and finish. Bright future!
2021 6’3″ Jaden Hardy of Coronado, some young men are born to play the game. He can play the 1 or 2 position. Has the ability to score from all 3 levels. A nice stroke, can pull up from 15 ft. Absorbing contact is not a problem for this young man.
2021 6’4″ WF Glen Taylor of Cheyenne high, this young man knows how to get buckets. Long athletic a slasher. Moves his feet well for his age and size. Still have a lot of room to grow and mature.
2021 6’0″ PG Frankie Collins of Clark high, there is no rush on this young man. He plays behind D1 players. This point guard plays with attitude and is physical. Very good ball skills, plays great defense and is the future of Clark.
2021 6’3” G Will McClendon of Bishop Gorman, has a great feel for the game. He’s very patient on offense and can step outside and knock down the three. He is very mature for his age on the court.
2021 5’11” PG Kobe Stroughter of Eldorado High, is one player that you don’t hear much about. This young PG is a very crafty ball handler that make passes that most seniors can’t do. His basketball IQ is very good for his age.
