Night one of the Las Vegas Fab 48 lived up to all the hype. As I sit back and watch games, I realize that the atmosphere was good for Grassroots basketball. Hundreds of coaches feel the sidelines.

Children were allowed to Showcase their talent. Some high-profile names were in the building a lot of these children don’t realize they will never have an opportunity like this again to Showcase themselves in front of coaches. One Mid-west program stood out on this night ( MAC Irvin Fire) the Chicago-based representative played like their life depended on it!fullsizeoutput_63a6.jpeg

Attitude determines Altitude: MAC Irvin fire players play like somebody violated their territory. The up-tempo pace was electrifying! These Mid-west players showed me a different side. A Mean Streak, a level of intensity that I have not seen in some time.

2019 5’9 PG Davarion Jacobs of Uplift Community High School Is a ball of dynamite that demonstrates leadership with a level of intensity that is hard to find from Young floor Generals! fullsizeoutput_6395

One thing you can rest assure when MAC Irvin fire is in the building there’s a lot of energy! They players feed off the spirit of their coaches. I look forward to seeing more of this type of play on Day 2!

2021 6’4 PG Devin Askew: Mater Dei high is the real deal! As everybody eyes were focus on Court 1, Mr. Askew got into his bag of tricks on Court 2. Devin showed that he is ready to take over the lead role. Mid-range game was on point, very unselfish as a player. Definitely is one of the top players on the west coast at his position!fullsizeoutput_639f

As we enter into day 2 of the Fab 48, I will leave this for all young Ball players: The window of opportunity is very small never allow a man to determine your destiny!

There’s one key word that every man should apply to their life its “Control” when a man is in Control he dictates his agenda. Never allow another man to do for you, what you can do for Yourself!
