2023 6’5 189 pound guard Chris Lockett Jr of Newman High School, appears to be the next big time player out of Louisiana. ESPN has Chris rated as the number 13 prospect nationally in the class of 2023.
Chris doesn’t have a desire to be second best. He has admirations of being National Player Of The Year! Chris is coming off a very productive freshman season, averaging 15.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists pre game.
Chris is just scratching the surface of his potential. At 6’5 he’s a problem for defenders; his ability to put the ball on the floor in transition is above average. Chris welcomes contact when finishing at the rim.
Chris shows flashes of stopping an elevating with his mid range shot. His three point shot is emerging with consistency. Overall Chris is one of the top three shooting guard’s in his class. It is definitely a lot to like about this young man’s game! He will continue to move up the rankings overtime.
Chris has received offers from Universities like LSU, Georgetown, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Wichita State, Memphis State, Houston, Vanderbilt, and Grambling State.
