Around the Nation in 2 minutes, College Basketball At Its Best… Next Up: AJ Banks Of Wyoming University

I have had this content over a year just sitting, it’s still in its original format. Their’s a lot of athletes that come out of North Las Vegas, Some are forgotten! Mr. AJ Banks of Wyoming University is a young man who has a unique story that has a lot of substance attached to it!

Coming out of high school (Cheyenne high) AJ was not heavily recruited. He did not have eye popping Star stats his senior year.

I recall walking into a gym while Cheyenne was playing Sierra Vista. I seen a young man who was 6’1 165 pounds soaking wet. He was like a rubber band, Young Fella could get off the floor in a hurry.

There’s an old saying that goes to whom much is given, much is required. Often times we really don’t know what God is doing with an individual. Each individual that is Born Into the world is born with a unique gift. AJ’s route to Wyoming University was different, it wasn’t glorified with hype! He had to put in some work!

Two seasons ago, AJ was playing at Pratt Community College in Kansas where he was averaging 11.2 ppg 3.3 apg and 3.0 rpg. The Jay-hawk conference is one of toughest leagues in the Country.

I have to be honest,  I love to highlight players that do not get a lot of recognition. These type of young men always demonstrate the will to meet and overcome any obstacles that might be in their path.

Ball players like AJ will always have more influence on their peers than any article that I write! This is why I do what I do. I give the people not what they want, but what they need! SOME OF VEGAS BEST! I don’t know Mr. Banks personally, but when you have a ball player come out of the North who demonstrates the will power to succeed, that, is a source of inspiration for all young players! One of the Mathematical formulas for success is Force,Time, Distance = WORK!

There are 9 schools that make up the demographics of the North and Northwest areas of Las Vegas. Players in these areas must understand there’s a level of pride that comes along with representing your institutions! Commitment, Dedication, and the Will to achieve is something that they must represent!
The moral to this article is to stay focused and keep your eyes on the long-term goals!! The race is not to the Swift or the Strong, it’s to the man or woman who has the ability to endure to the very end!
Play To Get Better!!
