In 2015, Robert Lewis walked into the Dula gym (located in Las Vegas) with his son Max Lewis. Robert was just looking for someone to take interest in his son. At the time no one was interested. I told Robert his son had good size and it was just a matter of time. And then came along the AAU program, Dream Vision and ever since then the process took off.
Fast forward to 2020, Max Lewis of Hillcrest prep is a 2021 6’8 Athletic wing who has a lot of upside. Last season at AZ Compass Prep he averaged 14.5 points per game and helped lead AZ Compass to a 24-6 record on the season.
24/7 sports has Lewis nationally ranked as the #74 player in his class. It’s good to see players out of Las Vegas excel at a high level; Max will only get better. National recruiting analysis Josh Gershon had this to say about Max, “Small forward with good size and length. Consistent threat as shooter with range to perimeter. Catch and shoot ability from three may be his best attribute.”
Can improve off bounce as a scorer. Has upside on defense and glass due to his physical tools. Project as a: High Major Starter.
At the current moment he holds offers from Baylor, St. John’s, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Utah, Nevada, and New Mexico.
